There I was, a struggling nursing student trying to study at every opportunity I had.

The thing is, at the time I was balancing a job to pay for school and skimming through thousands of pages in the dozens of nursing textbooks.

The big problem was that there was just too much material to cover in a short amount of time. That meant failing the NCLEX and not being able to provide for myself and my future, which meant I wouldn't be a practicing nurse.

Then, as if by chance, something amazing happened...

I figured a way to optimize my study habits about active recall and to-the-point study methods!

Instantly it became crystal clear to me how to study properly with the many resources at my disposal, because I saw I could optimize my study time, pass the NCLEX with confidence, and finally become a practicing nurse making a stable living.

My plan was to start gathering the toughest topics in nursing and surveying what my fellow nursing students were struggling with most.

So, I started creating written flashcards for myself at first. But we didn’t stop there.

We then used those written flashcards and tested it on a small set of my fellow classmates by letting them borrow about 60 written flashcards that I made. 

After that, we used trial and error to find the toughest topics and create mnemonics that would help us remember them.

Bottom line: In the end we were able to cut our study efforts in HALF and 2X (DOUBLE) our learning retention in less than 30 days.

Building on that success, we decided to create a digital version of my written flashcards that made it A LOT easier to distribute among my fellow nursing classmates and help everyone cut their study time up to 2x less.
